Wowzer!! Worked really hard the last two days out in my yard and beds: pulling weeds, edging, and fussing with accents and garden art whimsy....I said YES to a photo shoot of my gardening and flower efforts...way back in Feb!! What was I thinking, Lorraine Kamp? It's all your fault that my nails are a mess and my back aches...But, anyway...as always after you get a lot of work done, it feels good. And, I'm excited to see what this photographer from CT can capture from my little oasis...She travels all over the east and midwest to photograph gardens and antique filled homes. Her name is Judy Condon. She'll be here on Sunday. So, hoping my day lilies and hollyhocks put on a show for her...Still to do: trim the dead climates on the pergola, skim the algae from the pond, and fill a few pots on the deck...AND hope the TWIG people come with some mulch...but, if they don't oh well...who cares?
Weather today was rainy off and on...temps near 80 I guess...sunny now...Bergi the dog is filthy b/c she loves to dig in the dirt with her mommy...should have given her a bath...maybe later...
So excited about the fact that The Repository is doing an article on our Children's Garden at the Garden Center. Yours truly is the publicity chairlady this year and am thrilled that I got them to come do an article...guess the REP has not cooperated the last few years...All I did was ask...and tell them how amazing it really is and how we need kids there!!
Had to say no to another house showing tomorrow...Too hard to keep up the outside and inside with all my extra ideas going on here...wanting to make dish flowers so my dining room table is covered with glassware...and other little messes here and there...such is life!!
Ok..now to figure out how to add some photos...can't seem to get them from my phone to this blog...
